Bath time – a very necessary evil!

I wish our puppies took bath time so calmly. For as many dogs as we have, we have that many responses to the activity. I wish I could post pictures of my dogs in the tub posed as this Frenchie, but it won’t happen.

We have the ones that treat their bath like a they are being tortured. We have the ones that endure the water for the cuddling that happens later. We have the ones that make it their goal to drink all of the water, and everything in between. In fact, I actually suit up for the half day activity of bathing, drying, nail trimming and cuddling.

Make no mistake. The only thing these pictures have in common is the shower caps!

I have had lots of dreams about how I would design my perfect home, and I must say, none of them EVER included a dog wash . . . that is, until now. My dog bathing experience has driven me to DROOL over this photo! This stand-up dog spa was created for a couple by the Fixer Upper team. I love it! It has moved from not-on-the-list to top-of -the-Pez-dispenser in a flash! Our home doesn’t have an area where we could build one, but I will make it a point to designate one in my ideal home.

Some day my rinse will come!
