No Mess, No Ministry

Cleaning up dog poop hardly seems like a ministry, but I am a servant of the kennel and its dwellers, and with that comes the “opportunity” to minister multiple times per day!

Dogs can be messy, and people can, too! Worse yet, people can reek havoc on lives like a real “shit-nado”! (That is weather-speak as related to life damage caused by those who tear through relationships like a tornado, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.) In these times, we who are the peacemakers (not peacekeepers) are called to the site of destruction for the clean up. As reward for our efforts, the Bible promises a beautiful reward. Matthew 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.”

In the face of COVID-19, the upcoming presidential election and life on planet Earth, there are a plethora of opportunities for us to don our gloves, masks and other PPE (personal protective equipment), and “get our ‘child’ on!

Our ministry is calling! Let’s go to work and clean up this mess!
