What have I learned? . . . That I love baking more than watching the clock to complete my other commitments in a timely fashion – namely, this blog post!
So I have, once again, ruined my string of consecutive posts. And guess what? Today, I am not even said about it. Today it is just “true”. I messed up, but I learned.
Today, I learned that baking brings me more joy than perfection in posting to this blog. I learned that cookies count for joy in my heart and in the stomachs of the recipients. And I learned that there is freedom is abandoning the “shoulds” in favor of the memories made in the moments.
“I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.” -John 15:11
In joy, I bake, and in belated joy, I write!
