Black (Dog) Friday

In honor of Black Friday, let’s celebrate black dogs! Whoot! Whoot!

Bruno, Millie and Barack (aka Randy), are beautiful Olde English Bulldogges. They are all black and white, and similarly marked, yet each are unique in age, size, build and temperament. I have also been acquainted with them at different times in their lives. Two of my daughters and I drove to Memphis to meet and retrieve Bruno when he was four months old. Tony and I made a pilgrimage to Alabama to pick up Millie at 8 weeks. Barack, I have known his entire life. I was present at his birth, and I bottle fed and weened him before giving him to his new Mom (who was also present at his birth).

Like the children I birthed, I love each of these dogs. They have taught me so much about how to best handle them, and about myself.

For kicks and giggles, let’s sing (to the tune of Jesus Loves the Little Children)!

I just love the little doggies, all the doggies pictured here. Although they are all black and white, they are precious in my sight. I love all the doggies pictured here!
