A red Ferrari hugging the curves of the road in Oahu. A tall, handsome man with a great mustache – very easy on the eyes – as the show’s star. Three loyal friends to share the spotlight. A cast of four males to make women swoon, and men dream. The theme music was iconic. The guest house was gorgeous, and the life, luxurious. Ahhh! To work only when you want, and to have access to a massive estate and beautiful women, made this show a CBS must-see in the 1980’s. It didn’t take more that one episode to get you hooked on solving the crime and long to be a Private Investigator.
While I am also a P.I., it is not nearly as glamorous as the role played by Tom Selleck.
You see, Tuesday was “De-wormer Day” at Mother’s Finest, so today necessitated the use of my P.I. skillset. Private Investigator? No. Poop Inspector? Yep! Instead of a red Ferrari, I was on my gloved hands and padded knees, with my cellphone flashlight illuminating the piles and checking for worms. evidence.
I doubt that my role as a P.I. will be made into a television show, but monthly episodes are available for viewing!
